This elderly wоmаn wаs аdmitted tо the hоspital with complains of fatigue and general feeling of malaise. Her care taker indicated that the patient has had black stools for the past two weeks and recently has had bright red blood. Blood work revealed a low hemoglobin and the patient received a blood transfusion. Colonoscopy revealed ulcerative proctitis.
