Jоhnny is а 16-yeаr-оld yоung mаn who has accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He and his parents attend the same church. His parents are active participants in the church’s ministry and prior to the following events Johnny was generally a happy teenager who participated in the student ministry. In the last three months, he broke up with his girlfriend, was cut from the baseball team and is failing English. Filled with despair and sadness Johnny has contemplated taking his own life. Since his breakup with his girlfriend and dismissal from the baseball team Johnny has spent his time away from school in his room. He has covered the window in his room, keeps the lights and television off and only comes out long enough to get something to eat. He has stopped talking to his parents and refuses to speak when spoken to. Johnny sleeps most of the time that he is not at school and has virtually no physical activity. He has friends but no longer talks, texts, or communicates with them. His parents spoke to him, through his door, and convinced him to come to church to talk to you.
