Nоte: Hоnоrlock mаy not let you downloаd а PDF of the story, but you should be able to access the copy of the story you annotated by clicking the assignment link in Canvas, which will show your submission, or by going to Grades and clicking the assignment link there. [You may open a new tab in your browser to access any of the materials in our Canvas course.] Locate the plot diagram in "Short Story Terms with Definitions." Create a list of the different plot structure points in "The Haunting of Hajji Hotak." You must list the different points in the plot structure and then explain your interpretation of where in the story each of these points occurs. Here is an example using "Everyday Use": Here’s a plot structure for “Everyday Use” by Alice Walker in the same format: Exposition:The exposition occurs at the beginning of the story when the narrator, Mama (Mrs. Johnson), and her younger daughter Maggie are introduced. The reader learns about their rural home, their family history, and Mama’s anticipation of her older daughter Dee’s visit. Rising Action:The rising action takes place when Dee arrives with her partner and begins interacting with Mama and Maggie. Tension builds as Dee critiques their lifestyle, takes interest in family heirlooms (like the butter churn and quilts), and asserts a new identity tied to her understanding of heritage. Climax:The climax occurs when Dee demands to take the quilts, and Mama refuses, instead giving them to Maggie. This moment represents a turning point where Mama stands up to Dee and chooses to honor Maggie’s lived connection to their heritage. Falling Action:The falling action occurs after the confrontation, when Dee reacts with frustration, accuses Mama and Maggie of not understanding their heritage, and prepares to leave. Denouement:The denouement occurs at the end of the story when Dee departs, and Mama and Maggie share a quiet, peaceful moment together, emphasizing a deeper, everyday understanding of heritage and identity. --- Note 1: Be direct and succinct. Do not give a play-by-play of everything that happens in the story. You may need a few sentences, but you most certainly will not need a full paragraph for each of the items. Note 2: Formatting will not be evaluated. Just be sure to at least include your name on the document. You are welcome to just write a list as I have done here. Note 3: Avoid plagiarism! Note 4: Do not consult any sources other than the story!  Note 5: There is no right or wrong answer on this assignment. I just want you to show me that you can read and analyze a short story.
