For this essay, you are compare and contrast how the individual rights of freedom of speech and privacy developed across the U.S.  Begin each area by outlining the history of the Constitutional status of these rights, focusing especially on Supreme Court rulings gave meaning and altered these rights.  Then, thinking about the histories of Supreme Court rulings for freedom of speech and the right to privacy, argue whether the former is is more strongly protected than the latter?  What developments suggest that either speech or privacy rights have become more controversial in recent years.
