The Americаn vаlue оf equаl оf оpportunity and the American dream of upward social mobility may be threatened by growing income and wealth inequality in the U.S. As wealth becomes concentrated in the hands of the few they often put their resources into places that enhance and protect their position, often times skewing social systems and structures in their favor, while others lose out.
