This is а prаctice Midterm tо verify thаt everyоne is ready tо take the actual Midterm. It is required that you complete the exam to make sure our Bb proctoring tools work with no issues. All exams will use this exam proctoring technology. You will need to download and install Respondus Lockdown Browser on your computer (see the link to the right of the Modules), have a working webcam, and have a picture ID to show on the webcam prior to the test. There are 4 multiple choice questions worth 20 points in total. You have 30 min and must complete it once opened. Check your answers before submitting the test. Take this test before taking the Midterm. You may use a calculator and paper (no smart phones). Formulas, Conversion factors are provided. Law of Sines: a sin A = b sin B = c sin C Law of Cosines: a 2 = b 2 + c 2 - 2 b c cos A b 2 = a 2 + c 2 - 2 a c cos B c 2 = a 2 + b 2 - 2 a b cos C Rules about web monitoring exam. 1) No one else is in the room 2) All phones/other computers / other communication devices are turned off. 3) Your speakers MUST be turned ON, as well as of course the camera. 3) You have to show a 360-degree view of your room. 4) You have to clearly and slowly show your working desk area. Pan down to clearly show any materials used. 5) Your face must be clearly and CONTINUOUSLY visible with good lighting during the exam. Do not leave the room during taking of the exam. DO NOT have a light source behind you (such as a window during day light, or a light or lamp) as this would make your face dark and computer will discount your presence. 7) You can NOT use study notes or any notes. You can use a calculator ( not on a phone) , paper and pencil. 8) Must NOT read out the questions aloud and NO music or sound should be heard in the background, you should also not wear any headphones or microphones. Must not wear goggles or sun glasses that block your eyes to be visible. 9) All exams with webcam monitoring will be carefully scrutinized and negligence or absence of following above mentioned rules may disqualify your exam. Please note that the exam has some questions that have to be answered by you working out the answers in a sheet of paper. Your worked-out solution must have an answer that you pick from choices in the exam question. After finishing the practice exam on paper, sign it. You should then use a second device such as your smartphone to take pictures of the practice exam while still on the Respondus Webcamera. Using your phone log into Black Board and get into course page where you found Practice Respondus Exam. Below this Practice Exam there is another assignment called " Practice Respondus Exam Photo submission". Submit your photo submission within 5 mins of finishing your exam. The total time allotted for taking you exam is 30 mins. If you take up all this time to work on your exam, you won’t have enough time left on the camera to submit. This is Ok as long as you submit your exam within 5 mins of submission of your Web monitored exam. Your exam grade will be based on your multiple-choice grade calculated on your Webmonitored exam & work shown on paper, ie " Practice Respondus Exam Photo submission".
