I encourage you to focus on demonstrating your own understanding academic honesty is not only the right choice, but it’s also the safest one. Requirements for Honorlock Identification: A government-issued or student photo ID is required. Equipment: Make sure you have a working external camera, microphone, and a stable internet connection. Browser: Use Google Chrome with the Honorlock extension installed (https://chrome.comLinks to an external site.). Testing Area Sit at a clean desk or table that is against a wall. Ensure the room is well-lit, preferably with overhead lighting. Clear the desk or table of all materials. Ensure your external camera is placed to the side with full view of you, your keyboard, and your monitor. If asked, perform a complete 360° room scan, including your workspace. Partial scans or failing to show your workspace may be flagged. Keep your laptop charged or have the charger within reach. Prohibited Items/Actions No visible writing on the desk or walls. No websites or applications other than Canvas and Honorlock and the digital textbook. Close all other programs and browser windows before starting the exam. Avoid background noise (music or TV). No communication or assistance from others (except Honorlock support or your institution’s help desk). No additional people are allowed in the room. You cannot take the exam in a public place, this includes taking the exam in environments such as libraries, classrooms and study centers (补习班) where other people are present. Using a phone or any electronic device other than the testing device is not permitted unless it is being used as your external camera. Do not leave the room until you have finished.
