CMCN 1013 Finаl   Perceptiоn – hоw аnd why we see the wоrld the wаy we do – has been a major theme throughout this class. We have to be aware of our perceptions in preparing for an audience as well as others’ perceptions of us as future communications professionals. How important do you think it is? How much would it influence you in your future career when you are required to present information to groups, specifically certain groups such as workers in a special field or a public group on a social topic?                                         Communications 1013 changes from a lecture-based class (note taking/quizzes & tests) to a point where you are actually presenting researched topics to peers. How much does the information presented in the first months of class influence your presentations? Do the topics and terms learned actually influence your preparation or not really? Why?                                                           Why is instrumental use of language (professional and clearly spoken) important? How hard is it to separate the way you normally speak from a communications presentation? Do you think there are times when more relaxed language may be necessary or acceptable?                                             Dominant culture is defined as having the most powerful influence and power. In a multicultural society such as ours in the U.S., do you feel you can have your voice heard if your words and actions are well thought-out and presented? Why or why not? Make a brief argument for success.
