If a transaction is fraudulent, the system flags it 95% of the time. On the other hand, if a transaction is legitimate, the system incorrectly flags it 5% of the time. A customer with a flagged transaction argues that there’s a 95% chance the transaction is fraudulent because the system is 95% accurate.
