Consider a three machine cell that makes two part types, A and B. Part A initially visit machine 1 then Machine 3. Part B visits machine 1 then 2 then 3.  Processing of part type A averages 12 minutes at machine 1 followed by 5 minutes at machine 3. Processing of part type B averages 12 minutes at machine 1, 25 minuts at machien 2, 3 minutes at machine 3 per visit. Machine 3 is a test station. At testing, 65% of parts pass and leave the cell.  20% fail and must go back to Machine 1 and then 2 before being retested at Machine 3(i.e. start the process over). 15% of parts fail but just need to go back to Machine 2 and then be retested. Passing the Machine 3 test is independent of the number of times the part has been previously tested.
