Be sure to provide some biographical information on each man. Additionally, explain how both men influenced twentieth-century African American writers, especially those of the Harlem Renaissance. Prompt 4: Using a representative work and author of each literary movement, compare and contrast American Realism with American Naturalism. Argue which movement had the greatest influence on twentieth-century authors.
