Preoperative and postoperative diagnosis: Nerve compression Procedure: Decompression of nerve The patient was prepped and draped in the usual fashion. The right foot was sterilized. An incision was made at the base of the foot, and the plantar digital nerve was identified. The tissue surrounding the nerve was dissected from the plantar digital nerve to release pressure on the nerve. The incision was closed. The patient tolerated the procedure and was sent to the recovery room in stable condition.
