In reading stories with battle scenes and physical altercations, one might think physical power is the most important in the literature we are reading. But several types of power exist. For example, it takes a lot of power NOT to act in certain situations. Examine one type of power or desire that is not based on physical strength and how that power shapes the plot or reveals character in one or more of the stories. /10 Clearly identify the works (and author, if known) at the beginning of your answer. /15 Use concrete examples from the works we read that show familiarity with the texts (use character names and specific events in the stories to make your point). /15 Answer the question that is asked. /10 Your answer should be 350-400 words.
