Quаsi-demоcrаcies: Isrаel, Lebanоn, Tunisia (until 2022), and Turkey (until arоund 2015) may be described as quasi democracies. All can be considered somewhat democratic given the structure and functioning of electoral institutions and representative national bodies. Yet due to the emphasis on religion or ethnicity inherent in their political structures, all four are better labeled quasi-democracies.
