Marcus turned down a job opportunity in another state because he believed Olivia would pay him the $6,000 as promised. At the end of the three-month period, Marcus asked Olivia for the $6,000 she promised him. Cоmpleting the hоmewоrk on time is essentiаl to keeping up with course mаteriаl and doing well on quizzes and exams. You can reattempt homework problems an unlimited number of times, up to the deadline, until you have a 100 for each assignment. There are a help tools built into each assignment that walk you through the problems, and I'm always available for help by email or in office hours. Everyone should be able to maintain a 100 for a homework average, which will really help your course grade. This means that your homework average is not a measure of your understanding; it's a measure of if you're doing your work on time. Some people get in the habit of waiting until a couple hours before the deadline to start an entire week of work. They then run out of time, or say that something came up at the last minute, or scrape through with a poor understanding of the material and a low quiz grade. It's not in my (or your!) best interest to enable that behavior. Homework deadlines are fixed and will not be extended. There are a few possible exceptions, up to my discretion: 1. A planned event like a family trip, surgery, etc., that you notify me in advance of. I'd be happy to open a week early or give you a few extra days for preplanned situations like this. 2. Widespread server outages affecting the MyLab software. These are logged in Pearson's status page. If the system is down for more than a few hours, I'll obviously give everyone an extension. 3. University closure due to hurricanes, etc. This policy is for everyone's benefit; it's much easier to stay caught up in a math class than it is to catch up after falling behind.
