I attended training courses in curative occupations in 1908 at the Chicago School of Civics and Philanthropy, which was affiliated with Hull House. In 1912, I was asked by Adolf Meyer to direct a new OT department at the Henry Phipps Psychiatric Clinic of Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
