Ultimately, the best choice of assessment method is dependent upon the research question, study design, characteristics of the sample, and size of the sample, to name just a few. Briefly summarize the strengths and limitations of the most commonly used methods for diet assessment in research (24hr recall, food records, and the food frequency questionnaire). Provide two specific examples of ways in which technology is being used to improve current methods and whether these new innovations have been shown to be valid and reliable to date.
