He explains to Joe that this is a disease which attacks the immune system so that the body becomes unable to fight infection. Joe is to be admitted to the local hospital immediately where further test wills be conducted and he will be started on a number of antibiotics. Dr. Smith also tells Joe that,as of now, no cures have been found, because it has not been discovered yet what actually causes AIDS.
