Joe’s condition seems to have worsened as he has developed ascites and edema; his urinary output has decreased and he continues to lose weight. Joe also complains of nausea, vomiting, and pain when swallowing food. Because of Joe’s persistent symptoms, he’s been admitted to the hospital.
