The SARS-CоV-2 cоrоnаvirus thаt is the cаuse of the recent global pandemic has an approximate diameter of 75-125 nm.  How is it then that masks and other filtration devices with larger pore sizes (e.g. N95 masks stop most particles larger than 0.3 microns) can be effective at removing virus particles? To answer this question, it would be useful to draw an analogy to the case of Vibrio cholerae and Sari cloth discussed in the reading on microbial size.
