Questiоn 6. Explаining cоncepts, predicting аnd diаgraming оutcomes of musculoskeletal systems, 20 points Give an in-depth explanation written in paragraph form or drawn in a diagram for the following questions. You are an exobiologist in the near future working for SpaceX (don’t worry, Elon is long gone), studying the planet TOI-715b which orbits the star TOI-175 approximately 138 light years from earth. TOI-715b is 1.55 times the diameter of earth and a mass of 3.02 times that of Earth. This planet has an oxygen (~30%)/nitrogen (70%) atmosphere with traces of carbon dioxide, and sulfur. It has saltwater seas and landmasses covered with carbon fixing analogs to Earth vegetation. You are, however, interested in an organism that has elements of both hydrostatic skeletal and endoskeletal structures. This organism is pentapedal (5-appendages) and actively hunts/chases its prey (can be aquatic or terrestrial) Explain or diagram the similarities and/or differences between a hydrostatic skeleton and an endoskeleton, including how muscles exert forces on the skeleton to help the animal move given it has elements of both skeletal types. (6 pts) Apply what you know about the constraints that higher gravity may have on the organism’s form, ability to move, and gas exchange/circulation. (6 pts) Draw the organism including any skeletal systems, gas exchange/circulatory systems, muscle types/arrangements, or specialized features that this organism needs to survive in the environment of TOI-175b.
