Online Exam Policy:The following items are NOT PERMITTED within or exams.  Referencing any external resources (physical or digital) during the exam (zero score and an FF grade) Receiving any form of assistance while taking the exam either in person or through a digital platform (zero score and an FF grade) Using any devices during the exam such as a cell phone, iPad or other tablet, additional computer, etc.. (zero score and an FF grade) Attempting to duplicate, copy, or take screenshots of exam questions or answers (zero and possible FF grade) Leaving the computer during the exam without official SAS USF accommodations (zero and possible FF grade) Manipulating and/or covering the camera during the exam (zero and possible FF grade) Violation of these rules will be considered cheating, subject to the sanctions outlined within the USF Policy on Academic Integrity PolicyLinks to an external site. including an F on the assignment and an FF in the course.  Before starting your exam, you MUST scan your work area with your laptop to ensure there are no phones or other additional devices, notes, books, etc. Failure to comply will result in a 50% penalty. There are no exceptions to this unless you have SAS USF accommodations that prohibit you to do so that have been discussed with me PRIOR to completing the exam. You will be provided with instructions explaining what areas to scan before completing exams. Honorlock Test Policy Agreement: 1) The top of your desk or work area must be entirely clear except if you want something to drink.  2) Your entire face must be visible in the webcam throughout the exam. Check the inset screen to ensure your entire face AND at least the top of your shoulders is always in the screen. **It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to ensure that your face is in full webcam view during the exam! You may not be notified by Honorlock that your face is not visible, but you will be flagged, so it is up to you to keep checking your inset screen. Do not feign ignorance or ask for "another chance". This is your reminder. As much as you hate losing points, I hate reviewing the Honorlock videos and assessing penalties for this infraction. 3) You must be in a well-lit room, so I can see your entire face clearly. Ensure there is no back shadowing of your face. Check the inset screen to ensure your face is always visible. 4) You must be looking at your computer screen- not looking down or to the sides of your computer for long periods of time, which implies you are reading prohibited material. It is okay to briefly glance away, but you cannot be looking elsewhere for long periods of time! 5) You cannot wear headphones or earbuds. 6) You cannot wear jacket/sweatshirt hoods or brimmed hats on your head. 7) You cannot wear sunglasses. 8) You cannot manipulate and/or cover the camera during the exam, so that it hides/moves your image out of the webcam. 9) You cannot have anyone in the room with you as you take the exam. 10) You cannot leave the room, unless you have official SAS USF accommodations.  11) You MUST complete your exam on a desk, workstation, or table. You CANNOT complete exams while sitting or laying on a bed, couch, or floor. Why? Because students have been caught putting notes, books, phones, ect... between couch cushions. You can thank them for this rule. 12) Failure to scan your work area as stated above will result in an automatic 50% grade reduction  Non-compliance with any of these rules will result in a 20% penalty (unless otherwise indicated) for your exam grade for EACH infraction. If you are penalized 20% for looking away from your computer for long periods of time during an exam, you will receive a zero on any subsequent exam if you display the same behavior. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT CHEATING, YOU WILL RECEIVE A ZERO ON THE EXAM AND AN FF GRADE FOR THE COURSE. I understand that by signing this agreement that not complying with any of the conditions stated above will result in a 20% reduction per infraction (unless otherwise indicated) to your Exam score or an FF for academic dishonesty.
