Identify the philosophy:  Redemption was a gift of God’s saving grace according to this religious view, given to those predestined to receive it. It followed Calvin’s idea of predestination and grace with special emphasis on the doctrine of original depravity with all human beings deserving damnation. These people saw everything as the complete will of God. Those who would be saved and those who would be damned were decided at creation, and no human could change the predestined condition. Those who were saved were saved only because of the grace of the Creator.
