I have read and understand the Syllabus Attendance Policy: Due to limited clinical space students may not be able to make-up missed clinical time. If the student is able to make-up clinical time, it will be at the convenience of the faculty member and clinical agency.   If unable to attend clinical, the student must notify the proper instructor prior to the clinical experience as stated in the Medical Assistant Student Handbook. Failure to notify instructor on a clinical day constitutes a “no call no show”. In addition, failure to notify instructor on clinical day will result in a grade of “0” for the clinical day. The “no call-no show” on a clinical day may also be grounds for dismissal.  The student will call the instructor or department office and leave a voice mail as to the reason of the absence and a phone number where they may be reached. Any absence of a clinical day results in a grade of “0” for that clinical day.
