What Information can be Found in a Safety Data Sheet?   The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is a government body that helps protect workers by setting standards for safe laboratory practices and dispensing safety-related information. On their website is document that describes how to read SDS. While this provides gives an exhaustive description of a chemical’s properties and potential hazards, it is not usually necessary to read all 16 sections to safely use a chemical.
