EXTRA CREDIT:  My dog (Finny) was born in Hawaii and lived there for 4 years before moving with us to Chicago and then Tallahassee before he died at the ripe old age of 16. In this made up portion of the story, Finny was bitten by a rabid cat (ie has rabies) while we were in Hawaii. Although he had been acting strangely even before this unfortunate incident, he did not contracted rabies. Why not? (Hint: we talked about this drug in class)
