Pedro, de 72 años, vive con su esposa y   presenta antecedentes de reflujo que se encuentran controladas farmacológicamente. Es derivado por geriatra, ya que refiere presentar algunas dificultades durante su alimentación; a veces no siente apetito ya que todo lo encuentra desabrido sin sabor ni aroma; ha bajado la ingesta ya que siente que antes de terminar de comer su comida ya se enfrió y su familia ya está terminando de comer.    Frente a la exploración clínica; tú aprecias deshidratación de la mucosa oral, enlentecimiento en sus movimientos intraorales. Presenta RMO con latencia, reflejo de arcada ausente, y tos voluntaria débil frente al agua en flujo continuo, pero no así frente a semisólidos. Frente a ingesta de semisólidos y sólidos usted puede apreciar que no forma bolo cohesivo ni homogéneo, dejando restos de alimentos en cavidad oral, principalmente de alimentos enteros. ¿Qué etapas de la deglución se encuentran alteradas al ingerir semisólidos?  

Inés, de 30 años, ingeniera comercial, secuelada de TEC sufrido hace un mes presenta dificultades en la deglución por lo que es derivado para una evaluación clínica de la deglución. Frente a la inspección inicial no se evidencian daños en las estructuras orales, pero si disminución de su movilidad.¿Cuál podría ser un diagnóstico probable dado los antecedentes médicos entregados?  

Usuario con parálisis cerebral de 6 años, es derivado por fisiatra para evaluación de la deglución. Asiste a escuela especial desde hace un mes, pero desde colegio le piden a la familia que consulte si es posible alimentar vía oral, ya que por gastrostomía el personal no se atreve. La madre refiere que se alimenta exclusivamente vía GTT ya que nunca ha sido evaluada después de período de hospitalización por virus sincicial hace un año. Antes de esa fecha, comía semisólidos por boca y líquidos y medicamentos vía GTT. Al evaluarla se observa espasticidad en la musculatura lingual, con propulsión del bolo lento. Al deglutir se observa latencia de la RMO que disminuye al aumentar el bolo o entregarlo frío. En ocasiones, se observa tos cuando se le entrega muy rápido el alimento. Al respecto, ¿Cuál es la principal alteración en la etapa faríngea?
