Every widget the firm makes contains two plastic doodads. The customer demand for widgets typically remains constant throughout the year varying little from month to month. Due to the consistency of demand  and the reliability of the supplier the firm does not carry safety stock. Because of extended raw materials shortages your supplier has notified you that beginning immediately the lead time for ordering and receiving plastic doodads will be increasing from one week to three weeks.
