Remember to read the whole question before you look at the answers, when students skim the question, they oftne miss critical pieces of information and select the wrong answer.

If you could change one thing to make this class better, what would you choose to change and why?

Your patient has had an injury to his or her knee. Your PT has measured knee circumference (girth) to be 4 cm greater on the injured side. What is proper way to measure it to see if swelling has declined?  

Your pt. with a subacute bursitis is needing some assistance with exercise. What is the typical set that the PT would assign?

You are attempting to fire up the hip abductor mm. to test their strength, but the pt. keeps moving their leg forward into hip flexion. What m. are you really testing?

When approaching your pt, you note that they are limping and their pelvis is dropping off laterally on one side. What is this indicative of?  

Your patient’s ability to generate tension when exercising or doing a manual muscle test is affected by all EXCEPT?

Your patient has a ligament or bursae injury. What tell-tale signs will help you to see this kind of tissue was damaged?

Your CI and you measure the same joint on the same day, within a few minutes of each on the same pt. but you are of by 5 degrees. Should you be concerned, and why or why not?
