Concerning Late Items (not including quizzes or tests): 1.) If I forget to finish a WebAssign assignment and it is now past the due date, I can request an extension within a week of the due date.  I am also aware, that I will lose 50% of the points earned after the due date for late homework. 2.) If my group does not submit an Excel Project and it is now past the due date, I know that it can be submitted it up to one week late with a 5 point penalty.  The late penalty for each project is described on the grading rubric. 3.) If I do not submit a peer evaluation by the due date, my grade will automatically be a 0.  There are additional points built into the course which can help offset this type of mistake. 4.) If I do not submit a discussion board post and it is now past the due date, it will be up to my instructor if I may post late and for how much credit. I am aware that posting late may mean that I won’t be able to participate in the rest of the discussion.

I have reliable access to the internet, Word, Excel, Zoom, and the software necessary to view video lectures and PDFs.  If I do not have all of these in place as I take this quiz, I promise that I will immediately take care of the technology downloads upon submission of this quiz.

I am aware that there are discussion board posts as part of the course, and others as extra credit.  The majority of them have follow-up posts too.  I understand that if I do not post initially, it becomes a challenge for my classmates to do follow-up posts. When I am posting on discussion boards, I will post comments in a supportive learning-friendly manner.  I will avoid harsh criticisms, and I will honor the thought process of my peers.

I am aware that I can gain access to WebAssign through Cengage Unlimited AutoAccess.  I will set up my account and view the first assignment by the middle of the first week of the semester.  Additionally, I will not ask my instructor to remove the late penalty on homework if it is my fault for obtaining the required course materials too late.

I know that I can review my old quizzes and exams by going into Grades, clicking on the assessment, then clicking on “attempt”.

If I am struggling in the course, I will contact my instructor with specific questions to get help right away.  I know that I can rely on a fellow student in the course, the MathLab, the University Tutoring Center, or NetTutor for additional (free) assistance.

If my internet goes out, I will find some other way to get my assignments/assessments completed on time (such as coming to a campus computer lab).  Lack of internet is not an excuse for a late assignment.  Additionally, if my internet goes out while in the middle of a quiz, I am aware that my instructor will reset it for me, as long as I contact him/her prior to 9:00 pm on the evening it is due.  Beyond 9:00 pm, I will not expect my instructor to make accommodations for computer issues.

I am aware that there are 3 excel project peer reviews that are to be submitted after each project is complete.  These peer reviews are confidential between me and my instructor, so I can honestly evaluate my peers.  If there are negative comments or issues that my instructor needs to address, he/she will do so in a way that protects both my identity and the identity of the other party.
