A 34-year-old female with no significant past medical history has been referred to a pulmonologist by her primary care provider, with a 2-month history of progressive dyspnea. She notes associated low-grade fever, malaise, joint pain, and swollen neck glands. She denies a history of travel, cigarette smoking, or recreational drug use. All other reviews of systems are negative. Her physical exam reveals tender nodular formations on her anterior lower extremities, hepatosplenomegaly, and cervical lymphadenopathy.
