Why would you choose that pump for the oil?

A fluid with a viscosity of 5.0 m2/sec is pumped at a velocity of 10 m/sec in a pipe that has an internal diameter of 0.01 m.  Calculate the Reynold’s number (show your work as much as possible, you should not need a calculator).  What does this number tell you about this situation? 

When separating a fluid, what is the component called that has not passed through the membrane?
