Part 7: Good Science [9 points] ***READ CAREFULLY!!!*** (It’s not a “trick question” or anything….just make sure that you understand the background before you attempt the question, please.)A team of scientists collected three core samples in the Atlantic Ocean at locations A, B, and C. As you may or may not know, a core sample is collected by drilling into the ocean floor and removing a cylinder-shaped sample of rock and sediment. Then, the core samples are examined in the lab. This provides scientists with a record of which rock layers are present. Unfortunately, the geologists made a huge mistake—they forgot to label which core sample was collected from which location.   Using the data provided above, please answer the following questions on your paper (the same questions are also next to the figures above): Match each core sample (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat) with the appropriate map location (A, B, C).
