A patient presents to Urgent Care with a four-day history of left ear pain and intermittent fever. Patient states he was treated four days ago by his PCP for an otitis externa. Patient states his left ear is much more painful, he has now developed a HA and continues to have fever. Upon exam, there is tragus pain, the left ear canal is erythematous and swollen with purulent drainage. The TM is unable to be visualized. There is mastoid tenderness with palpation.
