Do not use I, me, my, mine, we, our, ours, us, you, your, and yours. Do not use contractions such as don’t. Never use a conjunction (and, or, but, nor) as the first word in a sentence. Whenever possible, stay within the same tense in a paragraph. Do not use a preposition as the last word in a sentence. Do not use abbreviations unless the abbreviation is more well-known than the word for which it stands.      Examples:  It is correct to use Dr., Mr., and Ms. OR The Tennessee Valley Authority (T.V.A.) does not expect a power-rate increase this year.
