Dr. Boyd suggests that God Himself risked a great deal in creating the world, and that God has suffered throughout history because of bad/evil choices made by humans. Why does Dr. Boyd propose that God allows Himself to suffer?

In order to keep the Kingdom of God radically distinct from the kingdom of the world, Boyd advocates that Christians shouldn’t allow their moral convictions to inform how they participate in the political process.
