TRANSCRIPT: Me: “Hellо my nаme is xxxxxx tоdаy I аm interviewing Heather Blоssom. Heather can you tell me about your career?” Heather: “I work as a deployment technician for all Walker hospitals in central Alabama, we are currently going through a deployment phase during the merger between Walker and Orlando health hospitals. I also work as Head IT Specialist in the IT dept, getting them prepared for the merger.” Me: “Can you tell me the time period between when you started and present day?” Heather: “I’ve been working this project since September so nearing 10 months” Me: “What would you say is your biggest accomplishment” Heather: “I would say my biggest accomplishment was becoming Team Lead and helping me fellow coworkers to reach deadlines for developments on time and with as little stress and delay as possible” Me: “What was your biggest challenge?” Heather: “There are many challenges, but I would say the biggest challenge is meeting deadlines. With such a short amount of time trying to meet standards and deadlines across 5 facilities, with all the computers and employees, and networking, it almost like trying to find and reach a bomb through a stampede then defuse it with 20 seconds left” Me: “What is the biggest difference between when your started and now?” Heather: “Mostly the change in experience. When I started I was still freshly new to this line of work, however now, due to the work environment, my knowledge has expanded so much and it has become less of a challenge to overcome obstacles and give advice when someone needs help” Me: “What motivated you to pursue this specific job, and want to continue pursuing it in the future?” Heather: “I’ve been trying to delve deeper into the IT field for a while now and they told me that I would be able to start at a higher position, and I knew that meant I could learn much more valuable information. Now I know I have the knowledge and experience to pursue this even further, along with the people I have met along the way who make me want to work even harder further into the project” Me: “Do you have anyone specific that you admire?” Heather: “Yes, my direct supervisor. He is one of the best leaders I’ve worked with, he takes great pride not only in being my boss but a leader. He constantly educates himself and takes pride and learning more about how he can do better for the whole team” Me: “Last question, who/what led your through most of your decisions and actions?” Heather: “I would say the people I lead, their input gives me constant positive feedback that I learn from, and they are a big help when I can’t help, or I’m to busy.”
