Research on vision in leadership (Nanus, 1992; Zaccaro & Banks, 2001) proposes that a vision can be viewed in five ways (A Picture, A Change, Values, A Map, A Challenge) Please describe and give specific examples to illustrate what each of these are and how they would be used as a leader to make positive changes at an organization or team. Provide a specific real-life example where being an authentic leader how acting in this way can be effective Groups are part of almost every part of our lives. Please define what constitutes what makes up a group and the various forms they can take. When forming groups Tuckman (1065) proposed a model for the various developmental stages groups experience – please list and describe what happens during these phases and use examples in your answer. Also explain how communication differs throughout this formation process. Finally, provide one overarching example of how a group would form for a specific purpose and the possible outcomes when they go through these stages. What does it mean when a group is cohesive? Why is it important in a group – in other words, why would you want to create group cohesion in a group of which you are a part? Please provide a specific example of a group with cohesion and one without cohesion and the outcomes each may experience. Also discuss specific positives elements as well as the potential negative (Groupthink) of having group cohesion and some ways you could eliminate the potential for group cohesion to be a bad thing in the workplace or on any type of team. Please be sure to include examples as part of your answer. Define what it means to have diversity and inclusion in a situation, organization etc. Be sure to include core and secondary in your explanation and how each might or might not influence your explanation. Explain Shore and colleagues (2011) Inclusion Framework and provide specific examples of each of the four conditions that are possible when a group decides to create an inclusive and diverse group. As you discuss each quadrant, also suggest ways a more positive environment can be created. When discussing diversity and inclusion you often hear the terms such as Equity, Ethnocentrism, Prejudice, Unconscious Bias. Stereotype, and Privilege. Please define each of these words and discuss how each plays a role in diversity and inclusion in the workplace (or any environment you choose). I would also like you to incorporate Mr. Lavoie’s discussion of “fairness” (from the film segment we watched in class) in your answer and how the information he presents could influence Please include specific examples in your answer. Conflict can be part of every human interaction. Just as humans are unique, so is the way they may approach ways to resolve it. Please discuss Kilmann and Thomas Styles of Approaching Conflict (1975, 1977). Be sure to include information on their 2 dimensions; assertiveness and cooperativeness and the resulting five conflict styles. As you present this information, please specifically talk about how each style can have positive and negatives associate with it. Finally, give an example of a specific conflict and how it could be resolved with each different style.
