He has a fever of 102.5 in the office and is holding his left ear in pain. Sleeping is affected by pain. Appetite ok. He attends daycare and was last treated for a bilateral ear infection three weeks ago with Amoxicillin. Examination of the left ear reveals an erythematous bulging TM, distorted light reflex, purulent fluid, and decreased mobility. Right TM with serous fluid bubbles, no erythema. NKDA.
