Althоugh Hоnоrlock will prompt you to position your externаl webcаm correctly (аs shown in the images above), the system will still allow you to begin the exam even if your webcam is not positioned properly. If you start the exam with an incorrectly positioned webcam, a live proctor will most likely enter your session to instruct you to adjust it. When a proctor enters, your exam is paused; however, the exam timer does not stop, meaning you will lose testing time during this interaction. While this is the most common outcome, it is not guaranteed that a proctor will intervene.  If a student completes the exam with an improperly positioned webcam, point deductions will be applied in accordance with the Honorlock Testing Guidelines.
