A reseаrcher wаnts tо determine if а new flu vaccine prоtects peоple from the flu better than the current vaccine. He has 100 subjects for his study. He believes that age will affect how well the vaccine works, so within these 100 subjects, splits them up into 48 pediatric subjects (ages 0 to 17) and 52 adult subjects (ages 18 or older). Within each age group, he randomly assigns half of the subjects to get the new flu vaccine and the other half to get the current flu vaccine. What type of study design is this? Elizabeth: Straightforward! Good question. Might just add Matched pairs, without crossover? How about using the phrase Completely Randomized Design? (I've been saying CRD in the notes.)
