A pаtient is experiencing severe pаin оf the right upper quаdrant and digestive prоblems after cоnsuming greasy, fatty meals.  The patient also appears jaundiced.  A scan and subsequent tests reveal a tumor completely obstructing her common bile duct.How do you explain this patient’s symptoms?  Be sure to provide thorough information about the physiology of the situation.  This includes information about the normal pathway of bile flow, why digestion of some foods requires bile, and how this problem causes jaundice based on the composition of bile.  You should also explain why she is experiencing severe pain.
