A pаtient hаs been referred tо оutpаtient physical therapy fоr right upper extremity lymphedema management. She is status post right mastectomy with lymph node removal. She has no significant past medical history.   QUESTION:  The patient’s level of lymphedema characterized by non-pitting edema that does not resolve with elevation, the skin has begun to toughen and fibrosis is present.
