The Fields fаmily аlwаys went tо the grandmоther’s hоuse for dinner to celebrate everyone who had a birthday that month.  She always made favorite treats for each person celebrating a birthday, bought and wrapped gifts and prepared a large dinner for the entire extended family.  As she got older, she continued to make favorite treats, but asked one her daughters to do the shopping and wrapping for her.  A family member would go to her house early to help her make the dinner and set the table. Everyone pitched in to supply side dishes.    By the last few years of her life, she did very little of the actual cooking.  She spent much of the day sitting at the table, giving verbal instructions and sharing memories of past family celebrations. Which theory best describes this behavior pattern (which is correlated with higher levels of reported happiness in older adulthood)?
