The psychiatry report indicates auditory hallucinations and agitated behaviour. During his hospital stay, John was diagnosed with acute psychosis, paranoid type. During his three-week hospital stay, John was followed by the health care team which included professionals in psychiatry, social work, nutrition and nursing. As an occupational therapist practicing on the unit, you receive a referral to see John after his medication has stabilized his condition. The plan is to prepare John to be discharged home in the next few weeks.
