I understаnd thаt: I must be in а prоctоred envirоnment to take this exam. I will NOT use additional resources such as books, study guides, devices, etc. during the exam. I will keep eyes on my own computer screen at all times (and entire face visible in the video frame). I will NOT communicate with others during the exam. In addition, I agree to the following rules (as outlined in the previous required reading for the exam): Instructions BEFORE Testing with Honorlock: You will be asked to show your photo ID. This must be a hard copy and not a photo on your phone. You will use Google Chrome only with the Honorlock Chrome Extension. Take the exam in a well-lit room and avoid backlighting, such as sitting with your back to a window. Select a quiet location where you won’t be interrupted or distracted. Avoid rooms where children or other people are present. Turn off televisions, radio, music, etc. Clear your workspace of all other materials. You will be asked to perform an Environment Check. Do a good job, or you may be awarded a zero for your exam. Turn off all other devices (e.g. phones, tablets, second computers) and place them outside of your reach. If your internet is shared with others, make sure they aren’t streaming videos or using applications that can slow down your internet connection. PLUG IN your computer or laptop to avoid running out of batter. Place your computer or device on a flat, hard surface such as a table or desk, and sit in a chair during the exam. Do NOT place the computer on your lap, a bed, or the floor. Do NOT lay or sit on a bed/couch/floor. If using a built-in webcam, avoid tilting the screen after the webcam setup is complete. Do NOT read questions out loud. Stay in your seat and keep your EYES on the computer screen until the exam is complete. Repeatedly looking away from the screen will be detected by the program and considered academic dishonesty – see academic dishonesty statement on syllabus. Other things to remember: Don’t wear sunglasses or hats. Don’t access other resources (a phone, tablet, notes, books, etc.) or communicate with other people. DO Dress appropriately, as if you were in the classroom. If an interruption occurs, briefly explain what happened by speaking directly to your webcam. All exams are recorded, time stamped, and may be reviewed by the instructor, department head, or college administration - see academic dishonesty statement below. And, finally, remember do not exit the exam/click away from the exam/stop screen share until all questions are completed and submitted for grading.
