A 42 yeаr оld wоmаn with а histоry of diabetes was seen by her physician for weight loss, anorexia, and general fatigue. As part of the Nutrition Focused Physical Exam "bronze" skin pigmentation was noted. The patient had the following laboratory results: Slightly decreased albumin, Significantly increased AST and ALT, Increased Total Bilirubin. The following Iron results were obtained: Serum Iron 170 ug/dL (Reference 45-150 ug/dL) Transferrin 210 mg/dL (Reference 200-380 mg/dL) Ferritin 300 ug/dL (Reference 10-250 ug/dL) UIBC 43 ug/dL What is the patients TIBC in ug/dL ? [TIBC] What is the patients %Transferrin Saturation in %? [transferrin] Is this patient in a deficient or toxic state? [state] When recording answers do not include units, report in WHOLE numbers.
