A 16-yeаr-оld sprinter injured her left hip when she wаs prаcticing three days agо.  She has cоntinual pain in the proximal inner thigh with some discoloration along the middle aspect of the inner thigh.  She is unable to walk normally because of the pain.  Your examination reveals hip abduction to 20º, limited by pain.  She is unable to lift the leg against gravity into adduction.  Hip flexion is 4/5, but not as tender as adduction.  The inner thigh area feels tight and is tender to palpation from the middle thigh to the groin. List and describe 3 exercises you will have her perform in the early phase; 3 exercises for the middle phase; and 3 exercises for the late phase. Include the goals/criteria to progress to the next level.   In addition, include criteria you would use to determine to refer her to another health care provider during the rehab process if she was not progressing as she should.
