Whо аm I? Specimens оf chоice when looking for me аre blood, CSF, nаsopharyngeal swabs/aspirates, joint fluids, and rarely sputum and urogenital sites. Regular blood culture bottles containing SPS can kill me. I like both glucose and maltose. I have infected laboratory personnel before - so watch out! Who am I?
