An electrical cord ran out of the metal box so that the decoration could be plugged into a normal electrical outlet. On the outside of the metal box, a metal switch was also affixed by which the motor and the lights on the rocking horse could be turned on and off once it was plugged into an electrical outlet. BB had purchased the rocking horse from WholeCo (WC), a wholesaler, who had purchased the rocking horse from DistCo (DC), a distributor, who had purchased the rocking horse from LightCo (LC), the manufacturer of the rocking horse. Paula took the rocking horse home and set it in her front yard. She plugged the electrical cord from the rocking horse into an outlet; after the sun had set, it became dark. Paula walked into her front yard to flip the switch and turn the rocking horse on. However, when Paula touched the switch on the box containing the electric motor, she sustained a severe electrical shock. Later investigation revealed that the switch had not been properly grounded when the rocking horse was made; thus, this permitted the switch on the rocking horse to become energized with electricity, which resulted in the electrical shock sustained by Paula. Discuss a products liability action by Paula against all available defendants. Be careful to examine all preliminaries necessary to establish a valid products liability suit along with all available causes of action.
